Gwyneth Paltrow attends the star studded gala celebrating Chopard's 150 years of excellence at The Frick Collection in New York City in an Antonio Berardi gown.
First things first: we can't help but remember with some amusement Nina Garcia's assessment of Laura Bennett's finale collection as not being particularly fashion-forward. In the 3 1/2 years since then, we have seen one black lace gown walk down a runway after another, somewhat contradicting Nina's point that all the lace in Laura's collection looked "old."
As for this dress, we like it. It's dramatic and it looks good on her. We would have suggested doing something a little more interesting with the hair, though (although granted, her looks pretty good). And of course, we applaud the use of underlay so that the world is spared a glimpse of Gwynnie's panties. It's a clean, simple look with the lace providing all the drama and we think she looks pretty damn eye-catching. IN.
