The Sex and the City Gals for Marie Claire

Shyeah. Like we're not going to have opinions about these four.

Get ready for the onslaught, ladies. Sexer and the Citier is coming to a theater near you and a lot of publicists and editors are not going to let you forget it. In this entry, the gals all pose in some pretty clothes and tell tall tales about how they're all dear, dear friends. Seriously, would give a kidney if asked.

And look. we're so tired of pointing it out and having the conversation go there, so let's just all hold hands and accept that extreme Photoshopping is the norm, like it or not. Celebrities no longer wish to look human and that's their God-given right as celebrities, we say. Even if they do all look a little scary.

Anyway, the clothes and the gripping tales of female bonding and friendship:

Balmain Spring 2010 Collection

"When you're on set, you're working 90-hour weeks, you're never home, you're exhausted."

"There are times when all of us have been sensitive, and sometimes feelings get hurt. But I don't have any regrets about how I've treated people."

We like this on her. More than the similar Balmain Demi wore in that much-derided W cover.

Christian Dior Spring 2010 Collection

"There was a very strange piece in one of the tabloids that said Kim and I would eat in the restaurant of our hotel and not sit together, which cracks me up."

"The story was that we don't like each other. Ridiculous!"

This little bit of naughty works surprisingly well on her, considering she has a rather narrow range of looks that work for her. It's got the little feminine details that play to her strengths.

Christian Dior

"It hasn't always been smooth sailing."

"The idea that we're somehow adversarial is ludicrous."

Stylists always want to put her in peasant blouses and hippie tops in shimmering neutrals. It definitely suits her but she's capable of more than that.

Valentino

"The chemistry among the four of us is very strong."

"The press has to put women in these boxes, rather than show them as the movie portrays them: working together and being powerful."

It's a gorgeous dress but we think the straps shouldn't have been positioned like that. It makes her look wider and just reads as a cliche "older gal trying to look sexy" neckline, which she doesn't need.
