This would definitely be a walking illustration of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts. We're talking fringe here, people. Fringe, and a lace-up back and DTM shoes, all of which would normally send us into paroxysms of teeth-gnashing and throw pillow-ripping.
Additionally, Evie never really demonstrated our oft-stated compliment of "she really knows how to wear clothes." Not that we can recall many major missteps, but in terms of her workin-it capabilities, nothing really stood out.
And yet, despite all that, we just love the way this looks on her. She's got a very athletic body - broad shoulders, slim hips, visible muscle tone - that isn't always as easy to dress as you'd think. Sure, she looks ridiculously hot in her underwear or a bathing suit (and during the off-the-island portions of S5 of Lost, she rocked the hell out of a couple pencil skirts), but she's got to be careful to stay away from certain kinds of dresses. We think this dress does great things for her. It accentuates her pancake-flat abs (without being tight), and her super-toned legs, and it even accentuates her broad shoulders by not trying to camouflage them.
Oh to hell with analyzing it. Bottom line: She looks great because she looks like she loves how she looks right now. Having fun in your clothes always makes the clothes look better. IN.
We still could've done without the DTM shoes, though.
