Pixar, we are getting might pissed off, as we're sure you must be at this point. It seems like no matter what you do, the judges forget you're even there. Now, sometimes that's deserved...
But not this time. This look had its issues but there was enough good there that we felt it should have been recognized.
A lot of the designers reached for that metal flashing, but he was the only one who actually made it work in an interesting way. And considering how difficult it was to work with it's kind of strange that he screwed the look up with the tape, which should have been one of the easiest elements to work with.
But even if the tape parts don't look as good as they should have, the overall look is well-designed and still impressive from a technical point of view.
It's one of the few looks on the runway that actually looked like stylish, wearable clothes. We're not saying he should have been in the top 3 or anything, but we're getting frustrated with how much he's being ignored.
And shame on you, Seth Aaron.
If there was ever a clearer instance of "I have immunity, so fuck it," we can't think of one.
Also, the thing with your initials? It stopped being cute a while back.
We get that he was probably going for a costume-y, robot girl kind of look, but that doesn't mean the look doesn't have to be pretty.
And while we think he attempted some interesting things, like the straps...
We just can't shake the feeling that at some point he just gave up on the design because it wasn't working. Tsk.
