As you might know, we're usually the bitches screaming at starlets to take some risks on the red carpet and stop showing up in high-end prom gowns all the time. And while this is clearly not a prom gown, it's also clearly not an example of someone taking risks. And y'know? We're okay with that this time. In fact, we love the way she looks. "Take a risk" certainly doesn't mean we expect celebrities to show up in cracktastic clown clothes (although it certainly makes writing about them a lot more fun). If the overall look is simple but pleasing, then we care not a whit about whether or not a risk was taken.
This is a simple dress, simply accessorized, but the color and the cohesiveness of the look is very flattering. It's a skosh on the safe and mature side (we can easily picture someone like Marisa Tomei in this) but it's also the very definition of looking "put together." IN.
